Works great, secure and has a nice lanyard.
The Mountain Mag Digiscope Eyepiece turned my Vortex Spotting scope into a great way for capturing photos and videos of wildlife that otherwise would have been too far for good images.
I recommend Mountain Mag to all of my outdoor friends.
Easy; secure mount. Works great!!
I've purchased and used a few other popular brand digiscoping setups in the past, and quite frankly, all of them left much to be desired. Specifically, when it comes to robustness in design and including proper alignment features to get you on target without having to fuss around with your phone for alignment or pressing onto your ocular lens and shifting your entire spotter/binos off target in the process. The Mountain Mag addressed both of these shortcomings while being very easy to use. Just follow the recommended set-up instructions in terms of orienting the magnets and you're off to the races. I especially appreciate not needing a special phone case just to digiscope! For those with Pixel Pros, I recommend setting your camera in Pro mode and then selecting the manual lens mode. This allows you to manually select with camera lens to use and makes it that much faster when installing and mounting your phone to your spotter/binos. My only critique I have after 3 hunting seasons of use is for a better designed cover lanyard locking feature. Mine continued to loosen itself from the ocular housing and ultimately fell off this past season and got lost somewhere in Coues county. Not a huge deal, but enough of a concern considering that it left my ocular lens of my Swaro spotter exposed while in my pack.
I ordered the eyepiece adapter for a leupold sx4 gen 1 and they sent me one for gen2.seems too tight. Wish they would do a video explaining how to use the different lenses with different camera settings.
Update 12-26-25
Sent me new eyepiece adapter immediately after reporting the issue. I'm very happy with the product and the customer service.
Very positive hook up fits very well I’ve used many of the other phone adapters and I have to say this may be the best one I’ve seen yet. Ive had phone scope and ollin which u have to have a full phone case which is a pain. This set up is by far the easiest to use
Works great!
Works great withI’m iPhone 13! Quick deployment.
This is a very simple idea using the existing MagSafe feature on most phones. It’s a quick set up and very easy to use. Magnets are strong and work great.
Works great switching between cameras. You will definitely want to get Final Cut Camera app or else you’ll fight it.
Bought this for my iPhone 17 Pro. Won’t get a chance to use it in the field for a while, but played with it around the property. I have my “thin optics” case adhered to the back of my phone case, so I had to remove the phone from the case. Attached the Epoch Mount to my phone and it magnetized easily. Eye piece is a snug fit for my Kowa 20-60x eye piece. The phone locks right onto the eyepiece ring with a sturdy feel. Should be great when I get back to playing in the field
Works great on my Cabela's Krotos 15-45x65 spotting scope.
Emailed company for help with this scope and got a quick, helpful response.
I actually found this adapter on Facebook which I rarely follow and went directly to the Epoch website to order. This adapter and eyepiece are a fantastic product. No need for a separate expensive phone case to buy when you get a new phone. The adapter installs in seconds and firmly to the phone. The eyepieces are manufactured so precisely that you can place them onto your optics and they will stay in place even when not using the digiscope adapter. The eyepiece for my Swarovski BTX stays on the optic and the lens cover still fits without removing.
