Part 2 of 3 - Mountain Mag Digiscope Adapter (See Eyepiece product)
Part 2 of 3 - Mountain Mag Digiscope Adapter (See Eyepiece product)
This adapter connects to your phone via MagSafe magnets. It magnetically attaches to the Mountain Mag Eyepiece on your optic for a lightning-fast digiscoping experience. The adapter can pivot around the MagSafe magnet, allowing you to target either the standard or zoom lens on the back of your phone. (If your phone does not have a zoom lens, the adapter will feature only a single lens hole.) When you're done, it disconnects easily, letting you use your phone and camera as usual.
This patent-pending digiscope system makes no compromises: no special case required, no covered lenses when not in use, seamless auto-alignment and connection with your optic, lightning-fast operation, a perfectly fitting eyepiece, and the ability to target both standard and zoom lenses.

Product is great… customer service is terrible
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for your kind words about the product, we truly appreciate that. I’m really sorry to hear you felt the customer service fell short. Looking back, it does appear that we responded to your email, but if there is anything else we can help with please let me know. Please feel free to reply to that email or reach out again, and we’ll be happy to assist however we can.
Works as advertised. Great product. Easy to use, a bit tight on the scope eyepiece but it's fine.
Hey, thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. You’re absolutely right. That third piece is an optional IPS cover designed to help protect the eyepiece on your optic, but it’s not required for using the system. We appreciate you noting the build quality, and thanks again for being a customer.
Absolutely the best on the market. Worked flawlessly. Wish I had it at the start of deer season instead of the end.
Love the Mountain Mag system! The magnets are super strong and the alignment with my S25 cameras are spot on. It's easy to set up as well as swap between optics. When using my 3x telephoto lens, I'm able to get my 8x binos to essentially replicate a spotter set up (in good light), which is great as I save up to eventually buy a spotter.
I reserve the right to amend this after more use, but my first impression is that the magnets aren't strong enough. I set my tripod up with my binoculars attached. The adapter has too much play. Shifting between l is great, but I can't seem to get it to stay once I've adjusted. The phone seems too heavy for the adapter. I can't get the phone to stay horizontal. I do like the clarity once you finally get it adjusted and maybe with a little more time behind the binos I'll figure it out.
Hi Brent,
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review!
I'm sorry to hear about your first impression, as the system should be super stable even on the largest of phones. There are two key things we should check to resolve the stability and rotation issues you're experiencing.
First, we need to make sure that the adapter is snapping fully into place on the eyepiece. There is both a physical and a magnetic lock that should engage, and this is what makes the connection between your eyepiece and the adapter rock solid.
Second, we need to check the phone's connection to the adapter. If you're using a phone case, it must have an alignment magnet built into it. That alignment magnet is what prevents the phone from rotating on the adapter. To test this, please take off any case or accessory you might be using and test the adapter right on the bare back of your phone.
If you have any further questions or continue to have trouble, I would be happy to assist you personally.
Thanks again for the review and for being a customer!

Easiest and most seamless system out there right now. Works with my iPhone just as is. I don’t need a new case and can use my phone easily for regular photos and the pop my phone onto my optics for digiscoping. Love it! It will be perfect for my trip to the Galapagos!!!
Works as advertised. Great product. Easy to use, a bit tight on the scope eyepiece but it's fine.
I'm having a lot of fun with my Epoch Digiscope adapter! Eyepiece fits my Nikon M7 very well.
Fits nice and tight. Easy to put on and take off
Good fit! Holds tight to the glass and to the phone!
Absolutely the best on the market. Worked flawlessly. Wish I had it at the start of deer season instead of the end.
Love the Mountain Mag system! The magnets are super strong and the alignment with my S25 cameras are spot on. It's easy to set up as well as swap between optics. Everything fits perfectly, best phone to spotting scope connector you can get and I’ve tried a bunch of them. Mounts quick, no fussing around and they reply to questions immediately. Excellent !
Product workerd great.. I recommend them if you just want to hang antlers
Good strong 💪 connection.
I really like this product. Used it on a guided hunt inTexas. Hunting post rut can be tricky in Texas, a lot of our bigger deer are busted up with broken tines. This digiscope adapter made it easier pick out deer that were not broken off. My clients were happy.
When I was working at Yellowstone, a friend and I went to look for Grizzly bears, and we saw six of them. He used the Mountain Mag to take pictures of the Grizzlies about 100 yards away, and we got fantastic photos of the bears. One thing I said to him about the product was, "Wow, this works great, and this product would be excellent for birding".
When I took the Mountain Mag out birding, we went to the beach to look for seabirds, and it worked excellently, making pelagic birding much easier because you can scan much more easily and take pictures and videos of birds about a couple of miles offshore, and ID them better. With the digiscope, I saw Northern gannets about 5 miles offshore and about 200 Black Scoters that flew by very quickly. The eyepiece stayed on the whole time, even as I moved the scope quickly to identify the 200 Scoters. The only issue with the eyepiece is that, and it's not even its fault, staying on the camera for a long time drains your battery, so just be aware of that. The other thing I loved about this product is that, even though I'm so far away, I can take a picture of birds that looks like I was right next to them. For example, this gorgeous tiny red bird, a Vermillion Flycatcher, I saw, I got incredible photos and videos that I would love to send you. The bird was about 50 yards away, and I got so much detail of the Flycatcher that you could even see the wind blowing up its feathers. I am honestly even more excited to use this product to take more pictures of these birds, so I can enjoy them and identify them better.
So to summarize, this product is not only great for taking pictures of large animals, but also fantastic for birds: taking pictures and videos of birds, and identifying them. I will highly recommend it to birders, and so would my mother, who is a well-known birder, ornithologist, and biologist for over 50 years.
After researching Scope iPhone Adapters I decided to go with Epoch Outdoors Mountain Mag. I am very happy with the fit and finish of this product. Works great. Bruce helped me get the right eye piece. Very easy to work with and quick to help.
